The CNS Vision Lab hosts a group of faculty and graduate students that conduct psychophysical and computational modeling studies of many aspects of visual perception. Some of our ongoing and recent research projects are: Object Motion and Gloss Perception, Neon Color Spreading, Neural Modeling of Shape from Texture, Visual Contour Extraction, Visual Navigation, and Optic Flow Processing.

The Volen National Center for Complex Systems was formed for the purpose of studying the brain and intelligence. The Boston University Center for Memory and Brain (CMB) was established as a center of excellence in research, training, and teaching in the cognitive neuroscience of memory. The CMB is composed of faculty within the Departments of Psychology, Biology, Mathematics, and Biomedical Engineering. The small core group of neuroscientists that compose the CMB complement each other in technical abilities and share the specific interest of characterizing brain mechanisms of memory.

The Boston University Center for Remote Sensing uses satellite images and other data from airborne and ground sensors to study the Earth and its resources, particularly groundwater. This includes the monitoring of environmental changes due to both natural processes and human activities.
The CRS has a research partnership with the CNS Tech Lab.
